Quality Education Services
The Access Learning Academy (formerly known as the Malvern Academy) has been providing quality educational services and support for over 15 years. We are a Licensed Private Academic School offering Special Education for Elementary/Secondary and Learning Disables Socially/Emotionally. We are known for providing A.C.C.E.S.S. an Affective, Caring, Community Educating and Serving Students. We offer a robust curriculum built around the needs of the individual students with small class size and low teacher-student ratios.

Areas of focus
Education
When a student is referred to us, we seek to utilize innovative curriculum and instructional methodology that replicates what the student will face once they return to their original school district.
We maintain regular communication with the referring school district and consider ourselves to be an “inclusive friendly” alternative school. The ultimate goal for the students is for a successful return back into their home districts and communities, which allows them to maintain their own network of peers, community supports, recreational, and extra-curricular activities.
Behavior Support and Counseling Services
We emphasize Positive Behavior Support and student-centered goals. This helps to support student success in their school, home and community.
We seek to utilize the student’s natural strengths and the family’s available resources. We view our school as part of the support team which will help our students unlock their full potential.
We will be the first to tell you that true growth takes time. We are committed to work collaboratively with the student, parent or caregiver, schools and agencies to best help the student achieve.
Each week, our students receive a minimum of one hour of individual counseling that focuses on a psycho-educational topic or social-skill development.
Their goals are measured daily through the use of point sheets. Rewards are given incrementally based on their points and levels.
Transitional Support
Our goal is to unlock the potential of each student and help them realize their future goals. Our older students have partnered with local employers to provide realistic job training experiences.
We network with local technical schools and community colleges to enhance our curriculum when needed. This can help support the interests of our older students who plan to transition to higher learning opportunities.
We seek to provide rich educational experiences that help spark interest and provide exposure to future career and educational options for our students.
Support for Schools
We assist several school districts located throughout Chester, Montgomery, Berks and Schuylkill Counties. We are aligned with PA state standards and approved by the PA Department of Education. We operate under a license as a Private Alternative School serving students in grades 6 through 12+.
