Something for Everyone

You are unique just like every individual we serve. We want to help match you with just the right opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone who needs a temporary or long-term home. You may have a heart to serve children or maybe you love spending time with adults with intellectual disabilities.

Whether you are interested in a long-term arrangement or you prefer to offer an occasional overnight stay, welcoming someone into your home will make a difference in your life, too!

Across all our provider opportunities, we are committed to providing you with:

  • A strong, supportive team of professionals available 24/7
  • Competitive stipends or per-diem reimbursements
  • Training and resources to give you the tools you need to be a successful caregiver
  • A listening ear and guidance from a coordinator assigned to the case
  • Social groups and activities

You won’t be in this alone!

Become an Adult Respite Provider

Respite is an overnight service for adults with intellectual disabilities. Our respite providers welcome an adult into their home for planned or emergency respite. In doing this, you’re providing support while giving families much-needed time to recharge.

Planned respite placements are arranged with the family more than 2 weeks in advance.

Emergency respite is requested with less than 2 weeks notice.

Benefits for Providers

  • Generous daily rate for providing this service.
  • Training is provided.
  • 24-hour support is available while the individual is in your care.

Are you a family member looking for respite?

Become a Lifesharing Provider

A home to live and grow in.

Lifesharing is a unique program that allows adults with intellectual disabilities to live with a provider and become a part of their lives and families.

Lifesharing providers open their homes, offer support and guidance to empower the individual to reach for and achieve their goals and aspirations. Short or long-term Lifesharing opportunities are available.

Become a Foster Parent

Building stronger futures.

Access Foster Care & Adoption became its own independent organization in October 2025. This decision was made with deep intention, rooted in our shared passion for vulnerable children. Much work has been done, and many lives have been impacted by the Foster Care program since its inception in 1994. There is still much work to be done, and Access Foster Care & Adoption will continue this strong legacy.

Please visit their website for information about becoming a foster parent!
