Real world experience to advance your education.
Access Services partners with educational institutions to provide students with real world experience as they train to become social service professionals.
At Access Services, our programs are designed to fit each individual we serve. Our internship opportunities are no exception.
Providing opportunity to shape the future of social services, we value matching students to specific internships that will fit their career focus, giving opportunities to build resumes and potentially earn college credit.
Interns interact with our current clients and learn how human services function. Like staff members, interns will have access to office space, technology and office materials.
Children & Family and Intellectual Disabilities & Autism Services (IDD)
Children & Family and IDD internships offer experience in the robust and ever expanding services we offer to children, adults, and families in eastern Pennsylvania.
Examples of intern experiences include supporting a child in foster care or joining a group of individuals with developmental disabilities to volunteer in community spaces.
Internships are offered in services for intellectual disabilities, family support, and foster care.
Behavioral Health Services
Behavioral Health services have energetic atmospheres with finely tuned operations that require by-the-minute decisions.
An intern may work alongside crisis workers to help those living with mental illness or with case workers helping people facing homelessness or probation. Our teams exemplify how to serve others quickly and effectively.
Internships are offered in services for mental health, crisis response, homeless outreach, young adult case management, and criminal justice services.
Administration
Internships in administration allow interns to see the behind the scenes operations of the agency in an office setting.
Interns will learn how the bulk of our employees are supported through our integrated administrative efforts.
Internships may be offered in information technology, marketing, and administration.
